Public Engagement Stage (February 2009 - December 2009)

The purpose of this stage is to help the community better understand what urban renewal can accomplish and the issues of concern so that we may collect their views on how to address these issues. We will present the issues identified at the Envisioning Stage to the wider public for thorough discussion.

The following initiatives are rolled out to encourage public participation:



1. Urban Renewal Idea Shop A community-based hub which serves as a convenient venue for the public to participate in the activities related to the URS Review
2. Partnering Organisation Program Facilitates public understanding and encourages public engagement in the URS Review through varied and interesting activities organised by partnering organisations
3. Information Segment & Radio Programme Series Provides basic information about the URS and examines the key issues on urban regeneration through radio discussion programmes
4. Road Shows, Public Forums and Topical Discussions Series Enhances public understanding on urban regeneration through Road Shows, collects public views through Public Forums and facilitates in-depth discussions on specific issues through Topical Discussions

Public Submissions Received During the Public Engagement Stage
